What we collect, and why.
This note covers this website, where you verify your institute email and reserve your spot. Plain words, no tricks.
What we collect
- Your institute email address.
- Your name.
- Your phone type (iPhone or Android), so we send the right app invite.
- Your year and hostel, only if you choose to add them.
- The IP address a verification code was requested from, to stop people flooding inboxes with codes.
Verification codes are never stored as written: we keep only a one-way hash, and each code stops working after 10 minutes.
Why
To check you're a student at your institute, to reserve your spot and its price, and to email you your code, your confirmation and your app invite. That's it. We don't sell your data or use it for ads.
What we don't do
No payments on this site. No cookies for tracking, no third-party analytics, no ad pixels.
Who handles it
Your details are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Emails are sent through Resend. The site and its server run on Amazon Web Services. They process data only to provide those services to us.
The app
When the app arrives, it measures only your total daily time on social apps, in 5-minute steps. Never what you watch, post or message.
